Reducing the ecological footprint and sustainability should be a concern for everyone.

Quinta do Santo is based on a secular farm, rehabilitated maintaining its philosophy and adapting it to contemporary demands of comfort, modernity and ecological.

The construction of both are fruits of our commitment to sustainable hospitality, using ecological materials in order to preserve the atmosphere of the surrounding space.

Main environmental sustainability practices:

  • Responsible for separating waste and forwarding it to the appropriate locations;
  • Provides several garbage collection points with separation, for the use of customers and associates;
  • Allows the customer to choose whether to replace sheets and towels;
  • Acquires paper from companies with environmental policies;
  • Reduce the use of various plastic products, including straws, plates and cutlery, and water bottles;
  • Gardens exclusively irrigated with water from holes;
  • Garden waste is sent for composting;
  • All toilet flushes do not exceed 6 L;
  • The tap flows are controlled by limiters;
  • Amenities – We adopt Pet-friendly products (without animal origin) and new packaging, larger and reusable, which prevent hundreds of plastics from being discarded annually.

Main energy efficiency practices:

  • Underfloor heating system;
  • Natural insulation;
  • Tools for monthly control of CO² emissions, with the aim of reducing these values;
  • Lighting with LED technology;
  • Street lighting controlled by sensors or GTC;
  • Fresh air treatment unit equipment equipped with heat recovery.

Main social responsibility practices:

  • Food, clothing and equipment donation programs;
  • It has several digital platforms available with all the necessary information so that you can get to know the resort in order to reduce document printing.
